There's only one thing to say as we call time on the third Stonehaven Real Ale Festival ... thank you.Thanks to all our sponsors who gave us so much support.Thanks to all the great musicians who kept us entertained.Thanks to the army of volunteers who made it all happen.And most of all thanks to you, the 2,000 people who poured through the doors at the Town Hall and made this such a great, warm, special, friendly, fantastic event.Slainte ... and see you next year.

THE leaves have turned, the nights have drawn in and that means only one thing … no, not the return of The X Factor.It means that everyone here at the Stonehaven Real Ale Festival has just delivered the town's third annual jamboree of fine brews.We've been checking out Scotland's breweries looking for their finest ales - yeah, hard work but someone had to do it - so that you could sample all of them under one roof.We've counted the handpumps, the bands have played, we ate the stovies and we had a barnstorming three days of ale heaven.All you now have to do is stick the dates for next year in your diary - Thursday, Friday and Saturday next November at Stonehaven Town Hall - and prepare to turn up for another three nights of fine ales, fab music and great craic.See you then - Slainte !

All hands to the pumps …
There's one thing and one thing only that makes the Stonehaven Real Ale Festival and that's our fantastic volunteers.
Without folk willing to give up a bit of their time to help out, the festival simply wouldn't happen.Those who have worked the bar, manned the
door, helped to set up and tidy up or helped with all the countless
other jobs have all found the same thing: It is great fun in a
brilliant atmosphere. They also appreciate the free festival
T-shirt, free festival glass, free entry (including beer vouchers)
that every volunteer is given as a huge thank you. So if you want to enjoy the fabulous fun
