All the profits from the real ale festival go toward the Maritime Rescue Institute. The MRI is a Scottish Charity (SCO32388) based in Stonehaven. All the following people and organisations have donated their time and effort towards making the Stonehaven real ale festival happen and have therefore provided a direct benefit to the MRI. Last year £3,535 was donated to the MRI.

Deeside Brewery are located in the heart of Royal Deeside,
Aberdeenshire. We are a stone’s throw from the River Dee, the natural
location for a brewery. The surrounding Grampian mountains provide the
inspiration for the original recipes and the pure, soft water of the
river is an essential ingredient in all our beers. Our beers take the
names of influential, but often overlooked, historic figures from the
area. Each is represented by ancient symbols found carved on Pictish
stones. They appear on all the pump clips and bottle labels, and each
beer has its own story to tell. We have relocated to a custom built
facility at Deeside Activity Park, near Aboyne.

Established in 1884 and now under the new ownership of Robert Lindsay. We offer 2 public bars and an upstairs where we offer a dining experience to remember. Seafoods and game dishes are our speciality. The bars offer extensive ranges of malt whisky and real ales. | The Trybe are a full on aural assault led by Great Highland Bagpipes and reinforced by fast and furious tribal drumming. The band really enjoys playing and loves nothing better than everyone on their feet rocking and dancing to their wild Pictish anthems.
