Deeside Brewery announces its festival beers |
|
Deeside Brewery owner and brewer, Rob James, has announced the beers that will be gracing the inaugural Stonehaven Real Ale Festival in November. "We have decided that our flagship brews will go to Stonehaven this year." Said Rob. The ever popular Macbeth will be making an appearance, along with the award winning dark ale, Broichan. "We expect the Macbeth to go down well, and dark beer fans will enjoy Broichan, which will fortify them against the
November evening."
There was more good news for real ale fans as Rob confirmed that Nechtan, initially brewed as a summer ale, will be available all year round. "It's a beer that deserves a wider audience. We have been delighted with the feedback from our customers." Enthused Rob. "So Nechtan will be going to Stonehaven too." Nechtan is a no nonsense American-style pale ale. Just pale malt and lots of American hops. Very refreshing.

The festival beer brewed with Robert Lindsay and Iain McFadden has completed
its primary fermentation, and is now cooling down prior to racking into
casks. The abv is a fulsome 7%, and the taste is one of Dundee cake infused
with sherry. Very rich. Very moreish. Very good.
